we are reminded that “wisdom is found by only those who look for her.” Here Wisdom is personified as a woman. Hence, it only takes a “wise man” to go out in search of her. The wise man does this with patience and hope, and so, never gives up until he has found Wisdom. With Wisdom, we are better and more equipped to face the challenges of this life. Without wisdom, our life and purpose remains shallow and un-balanced. Without wisdom, our religious life would be mere fanaticism.
Book of wisdom 6:12ff tells us, "Wisdom is bright, and does not grow dim...Watch for her early and you will have no trouble..." The Oxford dictionary defines wisdom as experience and knowledge together with the power of applying them. WISDOM speaks to each and everyone of us today. Wisdom tells us so much about her relevance in our physical, mental, and spiritual essence. Hence, without Wisdom from above, we are surely incomplete. Thomas Jefferson said, "Wisdom is knowing what to do next. Skill is knowing how to do it. Virtue is doing it."
God's Wisdom is manifested in all aspects of God's creation. Look around and see the beauty of God in the plants, animals, science, and human beings. Wisdom must be seen in our works too! Today, the Wisdom of the five wise bridesmaids consisted in doing what was expected of them, in been prepared for the arrival of the bridegroom. They had foresight. They had found delight in doing the needful. We also have to wait for God with confident expectation like the wise virgins
However, it is observed that the road to Wisdom in the company of the learning and faith is travelled by very few. Someone wrote, "If education does not make us wise, we are no better than if we remain stupid." We do not learn Wisdom in school, we seek it from God - If you want knowledge go to school, if you want Wisdom go on your knees and ask God! Solomon prayed for Wisdom and he got more than he requested. You too can become wise! Seek Wisdom and prosperity is yours.
In football, "Almost a goal" is not a goal. To hit the goal, you must do the necessary. Never say never. God is with you, even in your present situation. So, when you fail/fall, renew yourself in God the merciful Father. Everyone wants the crown, but only the wise wear it, life is a race! Just live each day as if it is your last day. Stay devoted and committed- the goal is nearer than ever.
Let’s ask ourselves today: Am I wise or foolish? Am I prepared or not? Do I have enough oil of love in my heart? Do I seek Divine Wisdom daily to stay awake. How can I be a complete human without divine Wisdom? Therefore, stay humble, be sensible, intelligent, and prudent...If you must behold the bridegroom on the last day. May God endow us with His divine Wisdom to behold Him face to face at the end of time. Pray and seek for WISDOM and she will dwell in a humble heart filled with love for God and others. Keep Faith alive, stay humble and be ENWISDOMISED!!! You need Wisdom to stay awake.
